Was notified by Virgin Holidays that the flight is 2 hours delayed but still will be getting picked up at scheduled time.
Bus arrived and picked us up and after saying our goodbyes to staff at the Starfish Trelawny headed for the airport which takes about 1hr.
The airport landside is so small and the check in areas awash with travellers.Air Jamaica staff checked us in for our flight but couldnt find our seats even though i checked in online.After giving her the print out she finally found our seats and handed over our boarding cards.We made our way through the security area and into the departure lounge which was filled with bars, shops and was much bigger than our last visit two years ago.
What seemed like eternity our flight was called to our gate but had to wait a further half an hour beofre boarding.I noticed it was Jersey Girl awaiting us (boo hoo no games to play)we got our seats at the end of the plane were there are just rows of two by the windows.(cant remember seat nos) and settled in to discover that the carpet was manky (dirty) and someone had pucked in the seat pocket in front of me[:$].I didnt want to move seats as there was a good chance that the rows of 5 beside us would be free and indeed after push back it was so i moved and left my husband in his seat.
Dinner was served almost immediately with a drinks run and a rather sexy (sorry hubby) helpful steward who really exceeded all expectations and i wished i had asked for his name as he really was first class.He kept coming round and asking me if i wanted any more to drink and if i wanted anything just to pop up and see him in the galley! woo hoo![;)]My hubby found this hysterical and said i was blushing for most of the flight home every time i saw him[:I]
Unfortunately i dont sleep on planes going home so was bored as couldnt play any games so just went for walks around the cabin and watched you, me & dupree.
Uneventful flight however had to make a dash from South to North Terminal at Gatwick as had to check in for BA flight home and had 20 min to do it in!
I really think the cabin crew do make a flight good or bad and wont have any hesitation flying again with them.
