Out for a week before Xmas and here I am two and a half weeks later out to the city of Mumbai[n].
For those who remember, BA has been my airline of choice for last 18 months and VS (who I use for holidays) now being tried!
Clubhouse was superb, as usual and call for flight was timely, arriving more or less as everyone had passed through for boarding. Obligatory glass of champagne as I reached seat (1K) and once airborne managed a few minutes at bar before turbulence kicked in.
Take off was 35 mins late (see General Discussion Topic re Speed), and arrived 25 mins early at 11.45 - in Juhu Beach hotel room by 12.45!
The flight - small meal - chicken main course, some cheese and then bed-time. Slept 6 hours until 45 mins from touchdown. Bed SO much better than BA Club offering - thats 2 journeys I've now slept soundly.
Crew were great - normally on Delhi run, this there first Mumbai run. I'd met a VS Blue member of staff last time (in UC). Apparently another VS Blue member of staff was in Economy. Was advised 20 Virgin Blue staff on 1 years secondment to VS at the moment.
Excellent trip.
Back out February, but timings mean I have to use BA. But out for 2 weeks in April (+wife and daughter) and VS already booked!!
The 'grouse' on entertainment - what was advertised on the screen and guide wasn't what was playing!!
