Boarding was a mess, no real separate Priority boarding line, so a bit of a scrum to get on board.
Left on time, had to slow down due to a lot of turbulance. Service was good, nothing to mention, other than a FSM was serving food. We were told at the end of the flight they were 2 staff down.
Landed at a snowy DC only 15 minutes late.

Got to DC, Immigration was bad, my bag was off waiting for me, but my skis were missing. In total it took an hour to get off the plane, get through immigration and get my bag.

Tried to re-check my baggage, was met by a grumpy United Rep, who insisted I had heard that the onward flight has been cancelled, when myself and another passenger did not hear anything.

United have re-booked me over 27 hours later than originally scheduled, so I am holed up in downtown DC with a days work ahead of me, and then a late flight to Denver. I'm going to stop flying to Denver, I am jinxed when it comes to travelling to Colorado.

Right now, I'm not happy with United, not about the weather and the situation, just think their lack of staff at the airport, and the fact the staff would not answer any questions. They realy deserve the financial predicamanet they are in.

That is a total bummer isn't it - you get what you think is the long bit out of the way only to be confronted by a cancellation at the other end - surely they could have let you know this in some way before you left the UK?[:(!]

Let us know how you get on?

Hope you get to Colorado soon. Never nice dealing with cancellations let alone with UA! [xx(]

Thanks for the TR!
