After a really chilled break, I didn't want to come back!

Didn't bother with on line check in or Downtown Disney as I'd reserved our fav PE seats 79 A&C. Took the Dollar rent a car back to terminal A to avoid the Qs. Its a little bit further to walk but well worth it[y]

Checked in at the Upper desk, had to wait a couple of mins as I think the people checking in had bought up the whole of Disney judging by the luggage they had! Given our boarding cards and lounge invite and then through a busy security line, but it did move quickly!

Off to the Delta Crown room. Its no Clubhouse but I do quite like it in there. Had a first drink and then I nipped out to the duty free to stock up! Back to the lounge for another drink and then called at 17.10 for boarding. Had to wait about 5 mins when we got to the gate as they hadn't quite started. When they did start boarding however we were the first people on. How come they can get priority boarding so right[?]

Caught the Cabin crew a little bit unawares as we'd boarded so quickly, however bubbly was soon served.

Did notice red blankets on the seats and not the purple ones followed by the handing out of economy kits instead of the premium ones. Still the contents are really the same, so no issue.

Pushed back on time and within 10 mins were airborne. First drinks round was quite slow but then followed by dinner. I had the beef stew and James had the chicken. I always find the meals on the flights back from the USA really disappointing. Luckily anticipated this so ate at TGIs on the way to the airport.Brandy and Baileys given out and then lights off.

Entertainment was Nova again, watched Die Hard 4 and Hairspray, which were both very entertaining.

3 juice and water runs were done rather than just a tray being left by the galley which was impressive.

Breakfast (fruit and muffin) was served about 1hour 15 mins before landing and we were on the ground dead on schedule.

Being at the back of the hump we were off quickly and straight back to the car on a cold and drizzly morning!!

Having read your outbound TR was waiting for you to experience priority boarding at its best. Makes me wonder why LGW and LHR cannot operate a decent priority boarding system like MCO do.

I can assure you that LGW & LHR ground crews are not alone in being unable to crack the priority boarding puzzle. The ground crew at MAN earlier this month did not have a clue either.

True to form, the out-sourced team at MCO managed it perfectly on the return journey. All they have to do is enforce what the person on the PA says - if a non FC Au / UC / PE pax tries to board when priority boarding is in place, send them off to one side & to the back of the queue.

Rant over!
