Woke up at 5am not feeling very well, and was in two minds wether to go ahead with my trip or not. My taxi was booked for a 6.30am pickup as the traffic on the M4 can be quite bad on a Monday morning.

The driver was 30 minutes late, and had got lost on their way to me, so i did n't leave until gone 7am. The M4 was busy, and had some speed restrictions, and the driver decided to go via the A4, which was gridlocked, so a 25 minute journey took 90 minutes[:(]

Walking to Zone A I found the checkin area has changed in the last 2 weeks, and I was able to walk straight up to the UC checkin, and there are no Security Screeners, as that work is now done by the Checkin Agent.

I asked for my favourite seat, not expecting to get it as I was chekcing in at 8:30am, I was told it was on hold, and I would have to pay for it. Yet again, I had to suggest the Agent followed the procedure of ringing to get it released, and educate them that Exit row seats are not charged for in PE.

The seat was then released to me, so I then headed upstairs to get some US cash and head to the Lounge.

The UC/Gold security line had no other passengers in the area, so there was no waiting.

The Lounge was not that busy, although I found the service slow again. The Christmas decorations were subtle.

The 11am flight was called at 10:15 for Gate 23, where there was no Priority line, and the gate area, had a line that snaked from the door through to the boarding pass machine.

The plane pushed back 10 minutes early, as the loads were light, and we were airbourne at 11:25.

My seat still had the problem with the droopy screens, which I reported on the 30th Nov, so the FSM said she would ensure it was in her report. Apparently there were a few others suffering the same issue.

Towels were handed out, and lunch and drinks were served. The menu had changed, and I went for the Beef, which was OK. The really good aspect to the lunch service was that they cleared the trays very quickly [y]

Ice Creams, Fruit and the panini's were served (no Curry Wrap [n] )

It was pretty comfortable flight, although the announcement that we would shortly be coming into land was made when the seat belt signs were still on as it had started to get a little bumpy. This confused us all, and many of us got up to put laptops away and tidy up. We were asked to sit down, and a few minutes later the seat belt sign went off and everyone rushed to do all they needed to do before it went back on again.

We touched down 30 minutes early and I got some good pictures of the city as we came in.

Yet again at SFO they opened L1 before L2, which the FSM told me was against standard procedure, I said they had done this regulalry over the last few weeks, and I left via L1 to head to a moderately busy Immigration hall, it took 20 miinutes to get through.

The bags were on belt 10 when I get off, but Priority baggage was not in effect, as mine came out some way during the middle of the Economy bags. The Customs exit was very long, with two lines which took quite a while to get out.

Overall another good fllight, no PE Gold welcome, the cabin crew worked hard and were very attentive and professional.

Next TR will be on Saturday.
