My first TR. Sorry its taken me a couple of weeks to do!

My second UC flight, and my first not feeling like death so I was pretty excited. Didnt do OLCI as I had already grabbed my seat and didnt have access to a computer on the beach. Chechin was straight forward. No queue, bags tagged with UC tags, secuity was quick (no fast track at CPT) and I was in the lounge in a few minutes. Since VS only fly to CPT in season I cant really complain that the lounge wasnt a club house but it still had free drinks.

Boarding was called (lower level - by bus to remote stand) and the priorty line was in operation, except they were boarding economy first and stopping any premium or Upper pax going through?!? [V] Very weird, but rules are rules and this line is for Y and that line for J! So security man opened up the barrier and I had to queue with the other confused J pax.

On the apron there is a separate stairway for UC so was in my seat with my 'bubbles' very quickly. The CC were excellent from start to finish! I think I had the best team VS have! FSM came round early in the flight to introduce herself to me (knew my name - she popped back to the galley every 2 pax to refrsh i would suppose but i'm probably the only one who noticed and only because of the comments on this in other TR's!!) FSM even knew I had had a massage and asked how it was.

Drinks and dinner service was excellent. I had Mushroom soup as a starter (was cold but I didnt ask to have it reheated), Chicken stuffed with feta as a main and cheese plate. I mentioned I wanted some ice cream later and the CC came round to say I better have it quick cos its melting fast!

Since I had to work in the morning I opted to have my bed made and had about 6 hours sleep. No extra pillows were available but I got 4 large sleep suits which worked just as good!

I woke and got changed - bed was gone by the time I returned so I got my duvet back out and waited for my coffee - which came in seconds. Breakfast I had the legendary bacon roll (it really was yummy) and another coffee.

We were about an hour early on the flight, didnt hold too long and landed in very good time. I think our gate was the furthest one from immigration as it took me hours to walk through. Since I'm not EU passport holder I had to go through longer immigration, but there are 2 queues at T3 and everyone goes to the one - so I slipped into the other and was seen in a few minutes. My bag was first off after crew bags so I was in the revivals lounge as fast as possible. (Is this the first time priority luggage has worked at LHR?)

Showered, shaved, suit pressed, had a nice breakfast and it was off to work like the beach and sunshine never existed. On a lighter note, my suitcase decided to break literally 10 meters from my office so my arrival was met with many laughs!

All in all an excellent flight, with the most incredible crew ever! I'm never going to able to turn right again when I get on board. Now just to convince VS to fly the CPT route all year round.

Thanks for the TR and glad that the flight went really well.....Have you not registered for Iris? It is SO much quicker and easier when immigration is busy.

Glad to hear you had such a great flight! I remember a similar confusion with the remote boarding at CPT when I flew nearly 2 years ago. Maybe it's the standard there?

I second DMB - go for Iris. I'm also a non-EU passport holder and once I convinced MrStars to do Iris we have never looked back!
