After two blissful weeks at La Source, we took advantage of Check-in/Chill-out and spent a few extra hours on the beach. We had arranged our car for 3pm to take us the 5 minute journey to the airport as we wanted to do a little shopping - and I'm glad we decided to go a little early. We were through very quickly but within 10 minutes the queue for security was out through the door!

After a little mishap with the bottle of water in Dr G's bag - how could we possibly have forgotten that - we did our shopping and sat down to wait - and wait - and wait. There is no Business lounge at Grenada so it was a slightly less comfortable wait than at LGW two weeks earlier! Boarding was delayed by well over an hour and a half but eventually we were safely in our seats on Ladybird. The CCs were very stressed and a bit short when the lady in the next seat asked a second time for a sleep suit. We were swiftly given a glass of champagne and were soon under way. The sleepsuits were given out once on the ground at Tobago and another drink offered. We eventually left Tobago about an hour late.

Dinner was very slow coming and service was very slow. I opted for the celery soup, which was delicious, followed by the ravioli which was unbelievably bad - a mass of splodge - and the chocolate marquise, which was very nice, though more of a fondant and far too big. The CC did offer to change my ravioli but I wasn't especially hungry so I declined. As soon as I'd eaten I converted the bed and settled down to sleep.

I woke about 90 minutes out from LGW and after freshening up got back to my seat which had been converted back and had a croissant and a couple of glasses of juice. I then woke Dr G and he had breakfast and soon after the cabin was secured for landing.

We landed at 8.30 and were soon on the stand. Then the long, long walk to immigration where there were about 10 in front of us. We were quickly through though and our cases were going around on the belt as we got to the baggage hall. We then called for our car to be brought around and were away within 30 minutes of landing.

An ok flight, not bad at all, but nothing special either. Another holiday over - now we have to wait until March and Barbados.

Thanks for the TR y) y)

Disappointing to hear that the CC were a little sharp with passengers to start with. I know things can be hectic, especailly if there are two departure points, but one would have hoped that this could not have shown through.

Like my recent return from Barbados, apart from the trek, seems like a rather smooth passage through Gatwick. Let's hope this is a sign for the future ):

Thanks once again

Thank you for the TR - a warm reception, particularly after a delay sets the scene for the flight and the CC benefit if you are more relaxed. I have had the same pasta dish twice, first time it was lovely second time like you it was so heavy I had to leave it? Good to hear the rest of the flight went well.
