Our trip was coming to an end, and we really didn't want to come home, but at T-24 I made sure that i was ready to check in online for our return flight from Bos to LHR.

No problems with the online process, and much to my surprise I managed to get SEQ 1/2......was very excited about this but I did have to explain why to my boyfriend who thought I had gone a little mad when I starting celebrating!!!

We arrived at BOS, at approx 16.45. I hadn't been able to print our boarding passes so needed to do this at the airport. As we entered, there were a few passengers near the Virgin desks, and it was mainly busy at the UC desks. We walked straight up to the PE desk, and this agent was more pleasant that the LHR one we encountered on the outbound leg. Bags dropped, boarding cards printed for us, and it was off to security.

As we walked round the corner we were met with a very, very long queue for security. It must have taken us nearly 30 mins to get through to departures. We grabbed a seat near the virgin gate and whiled away the time till boarding.

Boarding was delayed by nearly 30 minutes, but we were kept informed by regular announcements.

Our aircraft for this flight was "Sleeping Beauty".

When boarding finally commenced, there was a priority boarding queue, but access to the aircraft was all through one door.

On board again, into seats 20H/K as we were on the outbound.

The crew on this flight were slightly more jolly and ameniable than the outbound, but service was "what I expected it to be".

The food on this leg (beef stroganoff & cooked b'fast) was much more edible, and I did find myself eating more than I had expected to.

The only problem with this flight was the passenger sitting in 19K reclined their seat "to the max", at which point my boyfriend of 6'1" was trapped in his seat. After a few awkward moments, it was decided that we woul swap seats so that I was sat behind the reclined seat. This in itself was only made possible by a few acrobatic movements getting out of and then back into the seat.

To be fair to the person in 19K, his amount of recline might have had something to do with the same problem with the person sat in 18K.

Common courtesy did prevail though, and the seat was put upright at meal times, so although it wasn't as comfortable a flight as it could have been, it wasn't too much of an issue.

Despite leaving nearly 30 mins late we arrived on time if not a little early at approx 7.20.

Proirity baggage was definitely working, as my boyfriends bags were the 4th/5th bags off, mine weren't too much later.

So bags collected, through customs and we were at the Heathrow Hoppa bus stop by 7.45, to get us back to the Travlodge.

All in all we were very happy with our first virgin flights taken for a few years, and we may already be looking out for any bargain fares that may appear for September!!!

Thanks for the TR and well done on the Seq 1/2. I'm still trying to get mine. Two weeks ago, I even set my alarm - only to find, that because it was an amended ticket (on-hold then rebooked) I could not do OLCI. :(
