Ground Staff

Cabin Crew
Again did OLCI the day before, and arrived at O'Hare 2 hours before the flight.

This time we did opt for exit seats ^) with a buy one get one free as one of them isn't technically doesn't have a lot of room but managed to accommodate Hubby easily.

We flew back on Diana, who seemed to be a right old bird, doors and cupboards seemed to be covered in masking tape!! :0

Getting though security took ages at O'Hare but wasn't really an issue as there is nothing to do the other side.

We boarded quickly. However ground staff seemed to be taking luggage from people as it didn't seem to fit the hand luggage requirements. I've never seen people with such big cases for hand luggage :0

I have to say right from the start the Cabin Crew didn't seem very polite or interested. I heard a couple of people ask questions and were answered with "I'm not ground staff I can't help". There didn't seem to be any niceness about them, I was disappointed in that as I've never seen VS crew like that before.

The steward who sat opposite us didn't engage in any way.

We had a full flight of 210 and 13 crew and a flight time of 7.5 hours.

Dinner was served almost straight away, and as it was the old entertainment system I chose to ignore it and try to sleep. There were lots of crying children and babies though, I did count 10! But I managed to get about 5 hours (my record for economy sleeping). Apparently I slept bent over with my head on my knees :0 ?|

I was so cold though, frozen to the core, I wore the socks on my hands I've never been so cold on a flight before. I think I am going to invest in a travel slanket for my next long haul flight :D

We landed 15 minutes late and was held over LHR as it was so busy!

Clearing immigration this end was fine, but our luggage took ages to come off about 40 minutes!!

One thing I did note on both flights was how disappointed upper class looked, I am assuming this was because we flew on old planes though. I know one day I'll get a purple boarding card :D
