Up early to checkout from Courtyard Marriott to drop car off with Meteor Parking, simply drove car round to drop off point, nice chap ther to collect my car and will hopefully be there again when I return.
This is so much easier than parking at long stay and then getting the shuttle.

Check in on line with Virgin but where not happy with the seat assignment so went straight to PE check in.
Nice lady at the desk checked to see if any other seats were available, but no joy, so checked in bags and made my way straight to passport control via the fast track, very impressed in and out 2 minutes.
Quick look round duty free the off to gate 21 where Jersey Girl was awaiting .
On board swiftly to seats 82 E and F, bulk head behind so no problems with reclining, glass of bubbly offered and taken.
Pushed back on time, smooth departure with a slightly shorter flight time of 10 hours and 14 minutes.
Some young lads if front of for a 21st birthday, reclined there seats for around 10 hours but although snug, not over cramped.
I am 6ft 2" and around 18.5 stone, so was worried with the seat that had been chosen for me, but should not have.
This was my first time in Premium and was using some miles and Amex up grades so had nothing to complain about.
Great staff on board, plenty of drink runs, food was fine and watched 3 movies.
Arrived in Las Vegas, beautiful sunshine and so hot.

Off the plane amongst the first 20 people, Premium downstairs has some advantages:)
In to the new Terminal 3, slightly erratic at first but soon got under control.
Straight through immigration and into baggage reclaim , bags off so swiftly and into this vast new Terminal, where were treated by Elvis, show girls and champagne something you don't get at Gatwick.
The new Terminal appears to be very big, nothing in the way of food halls and shops but guess they will be in the departure end.
I am fortunate to have family that live in Las Vegas and been coming here for the last 25 years. So I have travelled with United,AA, Continental and Delta always looking for the best price.
But as we all know it's not about the price, although this is important.
But I have to say the efficient, friendly service, combined with the comfort and the practibility of not changing planes with this Virgin flight would be well worth paying for.
Well done Virgin best trip to Las Vegas in 25 years, let's hope it's as good on the way home.

Jeez, whatever happened to a pewter mug and a family "do" in the basement bar of a Blackpool hotel. ?| Young 'uns these days, don't know they're born...
