Time to head home after an amazing week in Los Angeles.

Checked out of my hostel at 11am, and took a shared ride to LAX, fortunately shared the time with another guest from the hostel, who was taking a flight with NZ.

Check-in was fine, just after the VS8 closed, so the hall and security was pretty empty.

Boarding was on-time, and I settled into my exit-row seat on 'Queen of the Skies'. This was my first-time in an exit-seat, and although the seat was narrower, the leg-room more than made up for this.

We took off on time, and the cabin crew swung into action. Serving my aisle on the left was a young male crew member, who was polite and cheerful, however, on the other side was a female crew member who even from the other side of the cabin I could see she didn't want to be there. I could see her racing up and down the aisle, practically throwing headphones and meals at the passengers v(

After the meal (beef), I gratefully accepted a cup of tea, and promptly dropped it all over myself :0. The crew were fantastic, offering burns treatment, but didn't feel I needed it, which I guess said something about the tea ( n( ), and changed into a fresh shirt. Having sorted myself out, I settled down and managed a few hours of (almost) sleep ][|) I woke up to horrendous turbulence over Newfoundland.

There were no drinks runs apart from with dinner and breakfast, however, I took JoeyC's advice from my previous TR, and made regular trips to the drinks fountain.

I returned from one of my drinks trips and overheard a couple of passengers from the other side of the cabin complaining to the female crew from earlier about her being aggressive. I obviously wasn't the only one unimpressed with her.

Breakfast was then served, however they may as well not have bothered, as it was vile, and I figured I'd get something to eat after arriving at LHR.

Overall, it was a very average flight, not enough to put me off VS. My only job now is to think about where to go next year :)

Sounds like an overly average flight. Shame about the moody CC, they do make the trip slightly less enjoyable.

Glad I could be of service, it is a pity they don't make an announcement about drinks mid flight. I would imagine a lot of pax would not know they were able to wander along to the galley for a light refreshment. Another reason to thank V-Flyer :P

Thanks for posting y)
