The lounge was very nice. Very clean and cozy and the staff were all excellent. Had a glass of red wine and a panini and then before I knew it it was time to board.
Boarding went smoothly. Went to my seat and was handed a glass of champagne almost instantly. The FA who served it (blonde, can't remember her name) was very welcoming and friendly. It was my first time in Upper Class/any Virgin flight so I was very impressed with the seats. It was comfortable and by far big enough. The bed was also comfortable-managed to get a few hours of sleep. Got woken up by a few bumps here and there, but otherwise it was a smooth flight.
My only complaint is one of the FAs on board who I can only describe as cold, distant, and at times, rude. She never smiled once and any request was met with a look of annoyance. I asked her to please make the bed for me and I thought she was going to beat me up. Very strange as all the other FAs seemed to be friendly and warm. Didn't let this nasty one ruin the entire flight for me but it was definitely a negative!
Overall it was an excellent flight. Not sure UC is worth all the extra money I paid but I don't regret it. Wanted to say thanks to everyone here who helped me with seating and other stuff.
