The CC seem to have stopped going through the cabin taking dinner & breakfast orders before take-off on my recent UC flights. This meant I had to wait for them to ask about breakfast once airborne before sleeping.
This being a short night flight my priority was to sleep (I had already eaten before boarding). Converting the seat into a bed was not easy but I managed it in the end. I didn't find it as comfortable to sleep as the old UCS, mainly because I don't have a pointy head and because the seat belt is too short to wear comfortably once lying down. I did sleep most of the flight though (until about an hour before landing, the CC didn't wake me for breakfast as planned). I had a couple of bacon rolls, coffee and orange juice (all fine for a quick breakfast) just in time before landing (with the IFE screen jumping out again!).
The T3 immigration hall was busy but I went straight through the Iris gate (I really hope they keep these open for as long as possible) and onto the Heathrow Express.
Bring back the old UCS! The 333 UC cabin does not feel like a premium business class cabin, I am sure VS will lose business because of it.
