So another Little Red flight, but rather than for a work trip this one was taking me to the sun.... :D well sort of......

Took the train across from Yorkshire to the airport, grabbed a first class single for £13 which seemed good to me and was offered tea, coffee, juice or water served a couple of times with a choice from the snack basket - pretzels, pastries or biscuits.

Arrived at the airport at 1612 and headed across to T3. I was early and the desks were not open yet. They do state they open a couple of hours before departure, but on previous flights they have been open earlier but not today.... v(

I was asked to self check in as first in the queue which was fine but not when everyone behind ignored the request and ended up ahead of me and was not policed by the check in staff v(

Anyway when I did get there, the smiling check in agent was friendly, tagged my bags as UC, applied the fastlane sticker and told me where to find the lounge.

The escape lounge is moving very soon, in fact it seemed like this might have been the final day as stocks were low but ok. Sandwiches, tomato soup, salads and cheese were available and it was busy. The staff as always were jolly and friendly.

Rosie Lee arrived a little ahead of schedule and was turned around quickly. Boarding was called at 1830 and priority boarding in operation. I was greeted on board and took my seat in 19F. The seats on this particular aircraft are not as roomy as Maggie May or Queen of the cobbles. They also don't have an adjustable headrest.

Everyone was on by 1845 and a quick hello from the captain advising us of a flight time of 45mins. We were airborne at 1859.

The passenger load was light - 22 in fact and the crew only brought out one trolley which made sense which started from the front. I asked for a G&T and I was offered as usual, a cookie or crisps.

Lovehearts were offered before landing and then the captain advised no holding and we had a great view of Park lane, Hyde park and Kensington palace on the approach touching down at 1932.

The senior crew member was laughing all the way through her arrival announcement which just sounds unprofessional and with the exception of one of the cabin crew, who was smiling and chatty, the rest were just ok. That is Little Red first for me. But it just goes to show the power of the senior crew member, who just didn't inspire at all.

The bags were on the belt waiting for me and and managed to just catch the shuttle to the hotel in Cranford and was all checked in by 2005. That's a record for me. :0
