Well it was time to go back to blighty after three and a half weeks weeks of glorious weather in Florida.

After being picked up in st petes,we arrived at mco at about 1130am,to be greeted to totally empty virgin check in desks, and a queue of people waiting to check in to 2 earlier flights than ours. Half hour later a stream of virgin staff appeared, and to give them their due they dealt with the masses very quickly, whilst asking everyone if they wanted to upgrade...as I was in pe I thought it may be beneficial to upgrade so I could get some sleep coming home, but once I was told it would $1400 extra,I quickly declined the offer ,as I couldn't use miles as I was on a H class ticket.

Grabbed a reluctant maccy d's as that was pretty much the best on offer in what I still think is a poor food court at mco, then went on a quick walk about of the shops,a few cigs, and then sat up near the security lines to keep an eye on them,so we could jump up quick if they were getting too long.
To my amazement the queue looked like it was only about 3 deep for over an hour,so decided to go thru early,to save the agonizing wait time....oh how wrong I was..they've changed the layout after you see the 1st security guard into a long zig zag queue system, and to my horror this took 40 mins to get to the walk thru scanner and conveyor belts, and with about 300 people all squeezed together in the queue, and the poor air con,it did get quite stuffy and whiffy, but once thru that all was good again.

Down to gate 81 where we were greeted by English rose.
Boarding was on time and priory given correctly.
We were sat in 16 a/c
Champers/orange/water was offered straight away...me being awkward asked for Buck's Fizz which the cc was more than happy to go and make me one as she hadn't made my prior.
Took off on time,on a very busy flight....404 pax and 17 crew.

Dinner was served a little while later, and wow, what a difference from the meal coming out! ...
On offer was a waldorf salad for starters and then beef provencale (beef stew) and murgh makani ( don't quote me,this is all from memory) which was a delicious chicken curry.
The food was piping hot,not dried out in the least and very tasty..I and my mother ( who had the stew) both said how good our food was. Bread rolls fresh and not the slightest bit stale like normally.Dessert was a lovely moist Bakewell tart ,followed by tea and coffee, and baileys of course.
Duty free run soon after and thn it was lights out for a very smooth flight back.

About 90 mins before landing breakfast was served...mini full English..again very good.

Touched down at about 845am,got off the plane at about 9 tho,as the rampies at gat wick were obviously still waking up.
Once disembarked and walking thru the corridors to uk border control,I noticed another flights passengers also making their way down...instantly making me dread the worst,as last time this happened we were queued right back up the ramp at border control, but luckily,as we were one of the 1st off,we managed to sail straight thru...happy days!

All in all this flight was very good. Cabin crew were back to their very best...all smiles and couldn't do enough for you ( again a big contrast to the flight out).
Food was surprisingly good, and the flight very smooth.

Right well that's my Florida fix done for a while..time to enjoy my last few days off work before its back to the grindstone.

Thanks for the TR sotonman, sounds like a good all round PE experience y)

Shame on the upgrade, H fares are not upgradeable with Flying Club miles but there is always the option of paying the diff between an H and an S fare... it might be a price you are willing to pay and sometimes cheaper than the offers at the desks.

Cheers for posting 8D
