Online checkin completed, and bags dropped just after 6:00pm with a small queue - which quickly grew!
Security was quick and efficient, but the departure lounge has lost the BK; that area is just shuttered, so the only food options are Pizza Hut express, and a poor sandwhich selection from the Bud ale house or the juice bar. Small duty free and newsagent, so not much to do here...
Boarded on time, and ready for departure on time. Started to back out, and then pulled back in as another plane was going past behind us - I was pleased someone noticed it!
Took off about 25 minutes late. Food was smaller than on the outbound; the beef was poor quality. I really miss the cheese! I asked for a bloody mary, which came after I had finished esting - oh well.
Flight was smooth; just a couple of drinks runs.
Breakfast was a bit strange; the menu said "scrambled egg & canadian bacon" but we also had a sausage, tomato and mushroom. The egg was wierd; it was almost a "foam"...
We should have landed on time, but three circuits over Biggin Hill kyboshed that. Landed 30 minutes late, amd then wre told to "remain seated" as the police came on board and escorted someone off - no idea why.
Passport queue was small; throught the auto gates in a few minutes, and luggage was arriving as we did, so out in 30 minutes from landing.
