first time using little red this morning & as i turned the corner to the VS check in desks at MAN T3 to find the entire Everton FC club checking in at the priority desk, i was thankfull i'd already printed my boarding card at home. Through an empty security area & i was in the tiny lift up to the Escape lounge, & what a nicely turned out lounge it is, despite being half full of footballers & associated hangers-on.

Boarding was uneventful & it seemed like a pretty busy flight. We pushed back on time but got no futher than the point where the tug lets go before the captain announced we were going back on stand as they had a computer error showing on the de-icing equipment. Second pushback almost exactly an hour later was successful & with many pax transferring onto VS long hauls, the value of the direct bus transfer to T3 became evident, although the walk from Gate 24 to seemed like miles when i knew i only had 45 minutes of CH at best - just enough time it transpires for an egg royale, a breakfast martini & a cappucino :D

Thanks for the TR.
Wow a delay of almost 1hr would have gotten my nerves tingling a bit if I had an int'l connection.
But sounds like even that delay didnt cause you any probs if you could still get a decent breakfast in the CH.

Ahh a footie team, must have been a noisy plane.

Shame about the delay, how inconsiderate of VS to reduce your time in the CH like that!! :P

Cheers for the TR 8D

Hat, thanks for posting. I was waiting patiently for the VS3046 to arrive after its tech hitch in Manchester....

I will post a TR for my flight up, but not sure if the delay got to the crew but they were not very positive on my flight with one exception and I see you scored them a less than perfect score too.....

Pleased you managed sometime in the CH before your flight to ORD.....and from the sounds it it you did well!

the score down for the crew was based on the fact that with so many now late connecting pax there was no general announcement about how the gate to gate transfer worked or where to go. i know its well signed but there would be plenty of people doing this for the first time

i marked down the food as the bacon rolls looked & smelled horrible
