The walk from T5 to T4 using the skywalk and the AirTrain took about 15mins and I actually arrived before the VS check in desks were open. I didn't have too long to wait but the check in staff member seemed distracted, she was just ok though did check my bag all the way through to Manchester and issued the lounge invitation for LHR too.
Security was straight-forward and no delays and I was welcomed warmly to the CH just before 230pm with the manager following me around to issue her own personal welcome which was well received....

I settle down for something to eat and enjoyed the Lamb kofta and CH burger...
A couple of staff members came across to me to say hello, we hugged, compared the last few months and shared stories and then I was persuaded to try the peach Bellini which went down well several times....it brought back great memories from Harry's Bar in Venice.....

Boarding began at 1800 and I was met at the door by name and shown to my seat. This was going to be an outstanding flight I could tell.....

Champagne was quickly offered, followed by newspapers and sleep suits and refills of champagne.
Menus and amenity kits were already on the ottoman. The CC member that was going to be looking after me came to personally introduce herself and said she was thrilled I was back on board....only words I know but they are powerful when securing loyalty.
The FSM also came along and introduced herself too. The Captain was American and a joker.....using Captain Peacock, Mr Lucas (for the first officer) and Mrs Slocombe which went down well with the British passengers....a confirmed load of 213 passengers with 13 cabin crew before we pushed off stand at 1818.
This was JFK so a long taxi in a long queue of aircraft waiting to depart which finally came at 1901 so not too shabby considering.
Hot towels were quickly distributed with drink orders taken and disapatched with a pretzel mix and refills offered and accepted with tables laid for dinner at 1945.
Tonight's menu was:
Asparagus soup or Heirloom tomato salad
*****
Pan-seared free range chicken breast, Grilled Salmon or Spinach and Ricotta filled pasta
*****
Vanilla bean cheesecake
*****
Cheese plate- Smoked cheddar, Danish blue and Gouda
Coffee and liqueurs were offered and I enjoyed a delicious glass of Amarula again which was fortunate as the port had already run out, the gin had (

I settled down to try and sleep a little only to be rocked about for about an hour with the crew also asked to take their seats. Breakfast came to life around 0500 and I managed a bacon butty which was decent with a couple of mugs of coffee and some OJ.
The cabin was secured with lovehearts offered and a few laps in the hold we touched down at 0635.
The CC member came to say goodbye which was a lovely end to a seamless flight with an exceptional crew.
I was second off the plane, first to the immigration and I made way to revivals where a big fat breakfast was waiting after a refreshing shower....
A fantastic flight with a great crew and service that stood out from start to finish...
