As usual the check in staff were fabulous, and security was quick. By the time we got to the clubhouse we did not have all that long before boarding. I went straight to the spa area to book a massage for me and a hair style (putting in pig tails !) for my daughter.
The breakfast was absolutely lovely – and I loved the cookies they had on the bar which we could take on board with us.
The plane was one of those new ones, think they called the A330’s (?) and even though we had the front seats (extra leg room) in economy it was still massively uncomfortable – I just found the seats really small and hard! The aisles were so narrow it was hard to get the hand luggage down it without bumping into people. Anyway the service was great and the FSM was really nice. I do like the service on virgin they are always friendly and helpful – I was considering trying another airline this time as I have already reached my tier points for gold next year and I really dislike the new planes but it’s hard to move when the staff are so nice !
Anyway – we landed into a rainy Newark on time and our car was waiting for us which was great ! all round good flight. Back over to Newark again tomorrow !

Since you're a gold card holder I guess you're not used to economy seats! They're not that bad, I do tend to find them on the firm side and I use the loose pillow appropriately. Just remember to get up for a walk ever so often to circulate the blood!

Nice one on the bulkhead seats but the downside of them is the IFR and tray tables are in the armrest reducing the width of the seat. Additionally you can't use the IFE gate to gate.

Nice to see your opinion, I'm now worried that once I start to turn left I won't want to go back!
