Must admit the new terminal is a lot nicer than the old, lots of freebies given out by staff, frozen yoghurt thing, and croissant (nice as i'd over estimated how long it would take me to get to LHR by a good hour.
New terminal is airy and bright.
Boarding was very quick, was amused by the old chap who was constantly moaning about how many times he'd had his photo taken just for a small flight it wasn't as if he looked like a dodgy character apparently.
Aircraft certainly wasn't as clean as it usually is, the surfaces weren't sticky, they just looked dirty.
45 minutes in the air is barely enough time for drinks to be served and taken away as was demonstrated this flight.
Looking back through the plane, this was definitely one of the most packed LHR-MAN flights i've been on, barely a spare seat on the aircraft.
I do despair though at the size of peoples "hand luggage" and why don't Virgin police it more often? some of the bags i saw people lifting into the overheads were almost full suitcases, causing the usual chaos with people having to put their bags half a dozen rows down the plane.
On the whole a good as expected flight.
