Security was a complete shambles! We were directed to use the priority channel which was unfortunately shared with the disabled/supported channel. The result being that for 15 minutes we went further back in the queue as groups of people pushed in with the disabled passenger who was taken through by airport staff.
No surprise that there were lots of complaints and they finally opened up another security belt which took us through.
Lounge was OK. we arrived at the end of the lunch offering so the food was luke warm.
Boarding was pretty quick having been announced in the lounge by Virgin. The boarding gate was directly outside the lounge so very convenient.
UC cabin was full and we had the four seats at the front of the cabin which were great. The plane has seen better days though. Some low level parts of the seat fittings were falling off! However the seats themselves were very comfortable and a big upgrade on the ex AB flight out to SFO.
Personally greeted by the FSM which was a nice touch not done by the outbound crew.
Food and drink service was punctual and tasty allowing people to settle for a nights sleep.
Opted not to be woken for breakfast but as we were all awake the crew were very quick in helping to make up the seat and get us food and drink paper landing.
Manchester passport was mercifully quiet and priority bags were off the plane very quickly.
Overall a great flight and super way to end the holiday.
