Wonder if any one can help:

Have a new comp with vista home premium on it, set up all my user account details as an "administrator" (USER ACCOUNT 1 for purposes of ease)

I then added a new user account (USER ACCOUNT 2) again as an "administrator"

Then made USER ACCOUNT 1 a standard user account and deleted USER ACCOUNT 2

What i have ended up with is one account that is a standard user which means i can not install any software etc etc and no way of changing the account type back to administrator.

Any suggestions on how to rectify the problem - i do have a restore cd which i can use if needed.

Many Thanks

CHRIS

Reboot into Safe Mode (hold F8) at boot, and then see if your original Administrator account is listed.

Thanks,
Richard

Faling that, have you still go the boxes it came in..... ;)

My new Dell PC is finally settling down after a traumatic upgrade experience. Creative still don't support Vista so I can't get my sub speaker to work but other than that it's fine.

Can't see a single benefit over XP though.

I can see one rather significant benefit : It's getting closer and closer to OSX every day... ;)

John,

What Creative card have you got? They have Vista drivers, and you can also use the XP drivers.

Thanks,
Richard
