So the big 'offer' for UK customers is that you can buy the iPhone at exactly the same price as new customers, but you won't have to wait until the end of your current 18-month contract to take out a new 18-month contract with them.

So much for loyalty...

According to the website you can have the phone for free if you are already an iphone customer on the £45 tarrif and above. 8 Gig one

If you want the 16 gig you can pay £59 and be on the £45 tarrif.

If you want the 8g and are on the £35 tarrif you can have that phone for £99.

By the way, thanks for this thread, wouldn't have known otherwise and have registered to be told when I can upgrade from my old iphone to the new one.[oo]

The deal is sweet for most business customers. We're all getting to switch to iPhone 3G for free with our existing contract for the nasty WinPhones we have. All we have to do is resign our contract for a further 24 months.

I have worked out which tariff I am on then.

What surprises me is that they will be launching PAYG on the Iphone. Surely the phone is going to be at a crazy price. When you consider, IIRC, that the bog standard Sony Ericsson is about £100 on PAYG, the iphone surely will be up in the £300's for PAYG.
