this made me chuckle, just the headline alone.

Why four?
Why 96?
Who gets the good deal, him or the wives (aka a peaceful time for most of the year?

I remember reading a study years and years ago into research done in areas where a large group of women lived together, e.g. boarding schools, convents, nurses' homes (I told you it was years and years ago!) where it was found that their circadian cycles including their menstrual cycles did all synchronise. Imagine 96 wives all using the 'safe' period of contraception and all saying 'Not tonight, dear' [}:)]

Four is the 'agreed' limit for wives according to Islam, provided they can all be treated fairly.

Why on earth anyone would want four spouses, never mind ninety-six, is totally beyond me. Sounds like lots of stress and hard work [:D]

Thanks,
Sarah

My admiration though. How on earth do you keep track of all the birthdays, let alone names.
