See you next season!! (Here we go again....). Roy Keane - Superstar. Niall Quinn -Superstar.Be nice if we win at the Kenilworth stadium against Luton on Sunday and Birmingham (who are away to Preston) don't.

So Mr DL likes Keano now then - 2-3 years in the Prem and then he's back at Utd Im afraid!!
[y]

Actually DL thinks he's quite cute (in a quiet menacing sort of way[}:)][}:)]). 2-3 years of keeping us up would be bleeding marvellous:D:D.

Whether the current team will be there though I don't know. Wasn't it the criticism of his team mates live on MUTV which made him quit Man Ure in the first place?

Not live on MUTV - a recorded piece that was shown to the team but never broadcast - and from the snippets that were said he was spot on and every fan agreed with him! Including me! In the game against Bayern we were shite!!

And of course the current team will not be there - all teams move on, adapt and change but one of the things that Keano has been absolutely brilliant at is taking a team that was down on its arse and remolding it to get to a certain point. Hes done that and his quote today of "we dont want any of that 4th from bottom nonsense" shows what a winner the guy is,

I put my hands up and admit I wasn't thrilled when we announced him as new manager (OK, I was mortified) . However he has proved to be a transformational leader who exercises discipline over the squad (a rare occurence these days) and has earned the respect of not just the players, but also the fans of the club. We may not be privvy to his dialogue with the team in the dressing room at half time ( and having seen some of the games turn around in the second half this season, my guess is he becomes a little animated)but his behaviour in public has been exemplary (and something other managers could learn from).
Thank you Mr Keane -may we have a few good years of your company ahead:D.

Having viewed matches recently, Mr. Keane has been quoted in the newspapers that his Sunderland team would "have" Blackburn, Chelsea and Middlesborough with his present squad. Then states in his next breath how he is looking to strengthen his team! Obviousley aiming high for next season. Watford ran away with the Championship last season and they took the Premiership by storm didn`t they. As for legend, maybe there should be a gap between leg and end. For legend, read, thug on 50 grand a week. Remember the tackle on Alfe Inge Haaland? What a brave guy Roy is and so intelligent to put his intent in print.

Not wishing to change this into a CL thread BUT.....

What a game! The boys did me and everyother Red proud- fantastic.....2 CL Finals in 3 seasons not bad at all. As soon as it went to pen's had 110% faith in Renia- his record in Spain was immense.

Sadly my deal with my brother and father that the next time Liverpool made a CL Final we would go- will not stand as have a presentation to give that morning.

May want to split this off, but reports are coming in that a helicopetr has gone missing after taking off from John lennon Airport last night heading for Peterborough. Rumours, and I can only stress rumours that a Chelsea official is on board

Chelsea have denied this and said all their official party is counted for, seems it was a wealthy fan more info here

Very similar story to poor Matthew Harding who was returning from a Chelsea game by helicopter from the North-West.

If it was a fan or a staff member from Chelsea, thoughts are with his family and friends.

No thank YOU for the laugh GJ [:o)]

What's that song I can hear? is it Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep?

" Where's your treble gone? (where's your treble gone?)
Where's your treble gone? (where's your treble gone?)
far. far away, far, far away.
Last night the fans were singing this song;
ohh wee fergie is loser fergie is losing s88m
Woke up trhis morning and the treble was gone
Ohh wee man u are the loser, man u are the losers again"

We were a big bag of hot steaming shite tonite!!

However - what do we have to look forward to:

ciddy away and winning the Premiership

FA Cup final

That'll do I guess?

Probably better than being relegated to the back of beyond and going bust!!

What an absolute disaster. We never looked up for it, Milan came out of the blocks like Linford Christie and the Ronaldo/left, Giggs/right thing never really worked.
I don't understand why Saha didn't come on until it was as good as over too....

A very unhappy SBG.

Errr no they didn't. They beat a very poor Leeds side in the playoff final to go up

Reading ran away with the championship and they have done OK.... Think they'll struggle next year though

On a happier note..... Both Chelsea and Man U out of the champions league!!!... I'm only happy about this because Chelsea beat us recently and we've still got to go to O/T for the last game of the season and I don't expect them to do us any favours. So at least we'll have something else to sing about.

Football supporters are a funny lot aren't we?

If we cant find anything to be positive about in our own team then we find enjoyment in another person/teams misery!!

Weird?
