Well, the-now Mrs. mdvipond and I have discussed and investigated this at more length than is strictly healthy and we're pretty much stumped. My dear lady wife is willing to have a stab at the fact you may be trying to lead us astray, so is plumping for London. I've told her she clearly doesn't have the brains she was born with, but what can you do?

OK, the debris is suggestive of the aftermath of an illegal 'gypsy' encampment. So where does that clue lead? Romania perhaps? Bucharest? If so, I completely failed to identify the main buildings.

I'm going for either Belgium or Luxembourg, although I do still feel it has a French feel about it. As much as I am intrigued as to where you are, I really want to know why you are posing in the middle of some wasteland, surrounded by rubbish, whilst a 'clearing up thing' (thats the technical term for it) is in the back ground?

Neil, you've hit on an important point. There was a reason (however sad) that someone took a photo of me near what looks like rubbish. Any ideas on what the rubbish is?
