Never give me Stella Artois, as I try to start dancing on the top of the bar (only when out clubbing!)
Erm, I sound like a lush!!

Nah! You're only in the minor league compared with some.

Mine are:

Bombay Sapphire and tonic (although Mrs D tells me I must try Hendricks which is not available round here)
Champagne (You can never have too much champagne - as I told my friends last week in London while having a champagne lunch)
A good merlot - hell, any good red wine
A good pinot grigio
An occasional glass of Guinness
An occasional bottle of Guinness to be taken in the middle of the day in the company of my aunt in the belief it does her good
Baileys
Irish coffee - just don't ask me about last New Year's Day when I had six on the trot (but they were good)
Mai Tai in Hawaii (well you just have to, don't you?)
An occasional margarita in the USA

Water - well I'd need it after that lot, wouldn't I? [:w]

Woo hoo, I certainly don't feel too bad now!
Agree with you on the margaritas - the best we ever had were in Banff, at a fab restaurant & it was happy hour (plus they came in what could easily have passed for mini goldfishbowls)....

Good drinks-
Theakstons Old Peculiar
John Smiths Draught
Bollinger
Smirnoff Ice or Baileys (When Slaughtered)

Bad drinks-
Any Lager/Alcopop (Excluding Smirnoff Ice)
Red wine (Headaches)
Any drink that takes more than 20 seconds to pour, requires a shaker, crushed ice or fruit to embelish.

Says GJ from the the land that created the Martini !!!

Which btw is the very best drink ever invented, and tops my list of favourites:

Dry Martini - Tanqueray Export, straight up, very dry, with a twist, my record is 9 in one sitting, at Harry Denton's Starlight Lounge in San Franciso [:0]

Wine - a good red, say a Casa Lapostolle merlot, 1999, or my current fave a Clarendon Hills Shiraz, through to Ch. Lafleur (or Pavie, another fave), which I could drink almost any vintage of

... not unfond of a nice white Meursault either, or a delicious and unoaky NZ chardonnay

Champagne - why yes, the only drink that can legitimately be drunk at breakfast through to dinner! Make mine a 1996 vintage Pol Roger (I've only one case left)

Best drink on a hot day - Campari and soda

Best drink at night - an Islay Malt or a Jack Daniels

Best for a pick me up - a nice spicy Bloody Mary with a good slug of Vodka

Used to love good Director's bitter, don't know where to get that now, but I did get to try some Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter recently, and if you like beer look this one out, it's superb!

Oooh I could go on and on - remember that fab little bar Jack and Vera had on Coronation Street, I want one!
