Not sure if it's been mentioned already and haven't been there myself (although very tempted), but what about Pheonix/Arizona etc.

VAA to LA/LV etc (earn/spend a few miles) and then on to the sun... Jan-Feb is probably a good time to visit there? Others will probably comment on this assertion ii)!

Have spent some great times in and around Pheonix and Scottsdale - the scenery is breathtaking. Not the cheapest places in the world though :)

Yeah, maybe if I win the euromillions tonight I'll contemplate that, however as someone who lives in their overdraft, cheap and cheerful is better!
Yes Darren, fear of flying is definitely improving, the thought of flying doesn't leave me in such a cold sweat as it used to. I think a few more flights and it might be gone for good. Also a good excuse for more holidays!

We went to Cuba in late June this year and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in Veradero and the beach and weather were superb. The locals are very friendly too. y)

The only minor downside was that as we flew VS to Havana the transfer time from airport to resort was about 2 hours. There is an airport at Varadero for charter flights and is only 20 minutes from the resort.

As I said in an earlier post, we found a nice place in Cayo Coco, which as I found out when I looked at the flight screens in work yesterday, has it's own airport too!
We just need the time off work, fingers crossed!

Thanks for that! y) I'm not the sort of person to travel without looking for everything I need, seeing how unprepared passengers are when I see them in work scares me so much that I check everything at least twice :w

Edited to point out I've now looked at the entry requirements, what a parp! Hopefully when/if we get round to booking it thomas cook should give a list of everything we need to get.
