Same! It stems from childhood for me. I learnt to read at three and never really stopped. For me, getting into a good book is a way of switching off a little and de-stressing but with the added bonus of keeping the little gray matter ticking over. I'm not snobbish about what other people read, chicklit isnt my thing, neither is Terry Pratchet but I've always believed that it doesnt really matter what people read its enjoying reading that matters.

That brought back memories of schooldays!

This thread has made me revisit a DVD I got several years ago. This DVD has all sorts of literary goodies on it, Shakespeare, The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire etc. I have just had a look at the Project Gutenberg website and there are now lots of free downloads for those with e-readers. Should be worth you guys having a look. y)
