Park only plays to increase sales of Utd merchandise in the far east.
Lets be honest, if he was made available, how many of us would be pleased if our clubs bid for him? One highlight of Utd losing the CL final was that we were not given a rendition of that awfull ' we shall not, we shall not be moved' cr*p. Good to see Ronaldo sulking on his own at the end of the game, acting out his I really do want a move to Real Madrid. No Tevez, no Ronaldo, Park in midfield, I see the car stereo stealers taking the title next season.

Tevez deal is almost done and he'll be at United next season [;)]
This is from the same source who told me the starting line up and positions at around noon on the day of the final, someone very well informed.
I think it's a shame as I don't actually think he's the right player for us, sure he works hard but he just doesn't get enough goals and god is he slow. He's just a similar player to Rooney but Rooney is obviously a few classes above Tevez, I just wish Fergie would let Rooney play upfront/roam wherever he wants as we'd see a better goal return from him and he'd be more involved as he should be.

Ronaldo will still be there for one more season at the very least. Pictures him stood there are just the press and TV trying to make a story over the summer yet again for the gullibles soak it up. They could've shown similar pictures of all our players.

Singing 'we shall not be moved' is done by most teams when they are in contention for a trophy, you'll hear it in the FA cup final on Saturday if someone takes the lead in the game, you'll have heard it from loads of different clubs this season so I don't know what the big deal is?

One thing I forgot to say, and this is the first time I've seen it in in all four European finals I've been too with United, we were out numbered by Barca fans all day and they were magnificent. It was great mingling with them and having a laugh around Rome, nothing like Rotterdam in 91 when there were hardly any of them there :) I do like Barca fans, I sat in their end for our semi against them last year and they were just superb people and would happily chat to you etc. Never been any bother between us and Barca hence the stories about them teaming up with Roma Ultras being a load of bull from the press yet again :)

And despite some comments to the contrary on here I see Fergie was graceful in defeat after missign out on a trophy (as he always is) and there was no real trouble. I hear there were a couple of stabbings, one in Rome and one an American who was mistaken for a United fan. We all happily went on the metro, plenty went to the places you were told not to go and we crossed the 'Rome Bridge' all without incident. I just couldn't fathom why people thought 50 Roma Ultras would risk themselves against thousands of oppostion fans on a day that had nothing to do with them, same stories go around every year and until you go to these sorts of games you realise it's all a load of bull.

Thanks, I will listen out for that.
No view on Park though? You seemed to skip past that part.

I suggest you read my post that you replied to originally, all I had to say about Park was on there.

If you want me to add to it all I'll say is that we're all hoping Owen Hargreaves will be fit next season and praying he stays free from injury, I bet you'd forgotten about him? [:D] Will be like a new signing for us as he's barely played. I'm not confident he'll remain free from injury though but hope I'm wrong.

I still don't understand why you're so obsessed with 'we shall not be moved' do you honestly think it's just a United song/chant? Just curious really [?]

Never personally rated Hargreaves but have competed in sport to a pretty high level as junior I know how much it sucks to be sidelined, must be even worse when the sport is your livelihood.

Bigger news is Barry going to Man City. So much for wanting Champions LEague football. Will be interesting to see what Man City can offer next year. The owners must talk big if they managed to get Hughes to come to them (after all surely he was a potential candidate for the OT job when SAF steps down).

Bruce now at Sunderland as well. Interesting times.

And so we end another fine season, with a fine league champion and some rather worthy opponents. We also end the season with relegations, one tragic and two well-deserved. And, dare we mention it, we end the season with a certain team staying up by the hairs of their chinny-chin chins (bless).

Time now to disport ourselves in the new topic thread for the upcoming season and leave this one to moulder, silently, for all time.

Red forever,

Given that GJ has started the next round of the soccer debate here, and has officially declared this season to be history - I will lock this thread, and ask that the sporting arguments continue in the new one. [:D]
