Another suggestion, albeit a longshot. Is it possible that someone has culled the information from your blog and/or V-Flyer, determined where you live (after all not many places have maypoles on the go during the last weekend in May as opposed to the first one) and got your address from the electoral register. I mean, let's face it - your surname is hardly as common as Smith or Jones.

Agree wholeheartedly, HL; although some amount of effort would be involved in linking together V-Flyer/blog/names/maypoles etc., you could probably track me down. However, why would someone I don't know go to all that trouble? And should I be changing my name on here to make myself less 'tracable' in future - or is that being just a tad paranoid?

But nope, not me, Mrs Scrooge would cut parts of my body off if I went to Fiji, to mail a postcard....without her....

It will be interesting to see who this is and what connection they have to you.

As a side note, in true English tradition, I will be stealing one of my ex bosses prized possessions from his car to take to Mexico with us...and anywhere else we travel for the next couple of years, just send him emails with pictures of it's travels.

The only Fran's I know are Irish (except for Fran & Anna from Coatbridge), but that's a different road altogether.
