BEST CONCERT YOU EVER SAW:God Ive been to so many - either The Jam on their final tour at Poole Arts Centre - so emotional, or Maiden, Anthrax and Wolfsbane together on a number of European dates

Gotta say that when Weller broke up the Jam I was gobsmacked as they were so popular. Respect to him for having the balls to do it but since then he hasnt excited me - and when he plays Jam stuff now he just messes around with it too much for my liking

BEST CONCERT YOU EVER SAW: Pink Floyd - Delicate Sound of Thunder Tour - Docklands Arena 1988

CONCERT YOU NEVER SAW BUT WISHED YOU HAD: Most of the Big Names playing at National Bowl (Milton Keynes) that I didn't get to see in all the years I've been living there.
Any concert by Faded, G-Jay and The BlueFrogs (3 great 'pub' bands here in Seoul) that I haven't managed to get too. I love small, intimate venues!

BEST CONCERT YOU EVER SAW: Bruce Springsteen & The East Street Band, Manchester Apollo, 1983 (?). Phew, rock'n'roll. Andy Fairweather Low at The Stables in Milton Keynes last year was excellent too. Given my antipathy to the Floyd, Dave Gilmour @ the RAH was a revelation. Brian Wilson doing Pet Sounds at the RFH.

CONCERT I SAW BUT WISHED I HADN'T: Five at the Manchester Evening News Arena - took Daught and friend for 10th birthday present - aaaargh! At least she's got better taste now.

FAVOURITE BAND(S): Freemasons, (main one at the moment, excellent first album out) Faithless, Sister Bliss(& most house bands) Jeff Wayne, Elton John, Saga, Shania Twain (ands a few other C&W singers such as Faith Hill,LeAnn Rhymes), Madge, Queen, KT Tunstall, Carlos Santana, Nickleback, Bon Jovi, Brian Adams, Massive Attack, Kaister Chiefs, Pet Shop Boys, Neil Diamond, Scissor Sisters, Roxy Music, Jools Holland and his R&B Orchestra, Anastacia, *****cat Dolls (for obvious reasons!) Level 42, Foo Fighters, Led Zep, Saxon, bread, Rod Stewart, Meatloaf, Eurythmics, New Order, Vladimir Horowitz, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Edvard Grieg, Aerosmith. EDIT: another to add to my fav broken-up band, after a good few line-up changes it seems one of my all time favs The Beautiful South have just split up today. Just read a Breaking News Story on the local paper website announcing their split, tut.

I was at the Eurythmics concert at the NEC when they split up. Annie had been rowing with Dave stewart all through the concert and then at the end she whipped off her top.

BEST CONCERT YOU EVER SAW: Elton John Solo - just him and his piano in Hyde park in July 2000 - absolute class for 3 hours solid.

CONCERT YOU NEVER SAW BUT WISHED YOU HAD: The Prodigy at Reading Festival 97. Would never have gone due to my absolkute hatred of these festivals with the unwashed masses.

MOST RECENT RECORD BOUGHT: The DVD of Elton John live in Australia to go with the album that lives in my car CD changer permanently.

Mark, you are a man after my own heart. I met Paul Weller a couple of years ago, he was staying in Nottingham after appearing at Rock City, had a drink with him at the hotel my son manages, he drinks LAGER and LIME[V]They were the best bloody band I have ever heard. I wish I had gotten to see Thin Lizzy, but too late. I loved Humble Pie, and Johnny Winter
