Hi all

Have been in touch with Sony about our 5 year old telly with integrated digital tuner not being able to receive all the Freeview channels. They have let me know that the tuner is out of date and will need replacing (so much for them advertising it as future proof at the time).

I am thinking that just buying a set top box will probably be cheaper than replacing the integrated tuner and am considering this set top box (£33.14 including SCART lead from Amazon). Has anyone had any experiences of this particular model?

Many thanks in advance

Spend the cash on a Humax PVR 9200T, just under £200, but worth every penny. You can record two channels and still watch a third if it's on one of the multplexes you are recording.

Hi,
I can, from personal experience say the Philips freeview boxes are amongst the most reliable boxes available along with the Sony. Don't buy Logik or Techwood as they are the most unreliable.
