The flying display for Farnborough 2008 has now been published.

There is an enhanced display on the Friday - which happens to be my birthday (including the Red Arrows) which is great for watching from a surrounding vantage point.

I think the return of the Vulcan is my personal highlight and interesting to note that the 380 is also going to included again.

Are any V-Flyers attending this year?

Thanks,

Fridays display does look good.

If you have any info on a remote site where we can park/picnic please PM me[?]

The Vulcan is no doubt the highlight of the week[y][^] I have seen it doing engine run ups at Bruntingthorpe last year, the smoke and noise upon acceleration is something else. This is part of a real air show we have been missing for years.

Won't PM as useful information to post. Friday is a good 'locals' day before the madness of the weekend begins - although increasingly Friday is also being beefed up and is no longer the straight trade day that it used to be.

Best place to park (although not ideal for picnics) is the top of the Kingsmead carpark in the town centre - the a/c will normally fly directly overhead and it's a stones throw from the airfield proper. If you are after more of a picnic site try King George V Park in Sycamore Rd - never watched from here but it's in line with the runway. There is also a pub just under the landing path - but can't remember the name.

I will be there - probably on the Sunday.

It does look good. Might try to get some time off for it. Tickets are £23 each with 5% off for bookings of 20 or more.

Could be a great F-Flyer social.
