Thank you for your spirited variety of answers and suggestions, but none of them really help me in my predicament.

Today, our postman delivered to mdvipond Towers a postcard (of all things!). On one side, was a delightful depiction of Malibu beach; on the other, a message: 'Flew VA Upperclass for the first time. Everything was great. Now in Fiji b4 going to NZ and OZ (only economy as not loadsamoney). Best Wishes to Mrs V and your daughter, from Bill, Fran & Tim.'

Our name and address are word perfect and, whilst the card is of Malibu, the stamps and postmark are definitely from Fiji. Well, the-now Mrs mdvipond and I have been racking our brains all day, and we're bloody well stumped. The 'VA' reference was our last hope, leading, perhaps inevitably, to this 'ere site.

Clutching at straws? Loosing my mind? On both counts, probably guilty m'lud...
