2008-09 NHL Season

Right, this is probably more for the guys from across the pond.

Apart from the Red Wings, who has a good chance of doing well this season.

As a long suffering Blackhawks fan, I'm optimistic that we're going to get in to the playoffs.

Perennial underachievers San Jose (just 'cause they are the local team, though they have a frustrating habit of just bottling it every year), and the Penguins.

That's spooky! The last game went to was last year and it was Caps v Pens in Washington. I went to the game to see Crosby and came out hating the guy.

It wasn't him personally as he's a great player although I thought Ovechkin was better on the night. It was the Pens fans that annoyed and I was sat in the middle of them. I knew there was a rivalary between the two clubs but it was scary and I've been to a few football derbies where there have been pitch invasions and police scuffles but this was worse!
