Luiz Felipe Scolari has just been sacked by Chelsea FC.
Who will be the next mug to take the job?
How much will it cost Chelsea to pay Scolari off?

Guus Hiddink and Avram Grant to work together as next managers? It did'nt work last time Avram, surely you aint going to go back?

Hmmm more than meets the eye ... they have to hang on to a top four position since trophies are unlilkely. Would they have been more likely to with Scholari there till season end or less?

For how much longer are The FA, FIFA going to allow managers to be treated in this dispicable way? Yes Scolari had a contract and will be remunerated nicely (you would think)? But managers are discarded on a whim, maybe there should also be a managers movement window?
It doesnt give anyone any desire to join Chelsea now? Either manager or player, how long before they get the Kossack Kick up the butt?
Scolari was only given 7 months to 'play' and the fact that the squad is getting older has not helped him, Chelseas choice to not spend anymore more money on transfers is amazing, why should a manager suffer for the clubs meanness?
I agree with you, yes, Scolari should have been allowed to stay til the season end, if only for the confidence it would have given the squad.
And spare a thought for Tony Adams, what chance did that poor sod have?

But if you are going to get a multi-million payoff after only 7 months 'work' - would you care being the next mug? Err, I'll join the queue.

Err, I was there first[:D]
It is not going to give anyone any confidence to join Chelsea. Four managers now in seventeen months, does that constitute a 5hit Company to work for?

So I just looked, contract signed was 6.25m/year for 3 years. So a pay-off due of just over 15m. Like anyone is likely to be able to make an impact this far through the season.

Exactley, its not as if Chelsea are likely to be relegated, they just wont win the League, Champions League etc, keep Scolari onboard until the season end, then if he hasnt improved the League position give him the Kossack Boot.

With my deepest respect, Your Grace, Mr. Giggs may be old(er), but he's scoring goals, blazing in the corner kicks and generally making a nuisance of himself to the opposition.

Ahh GJ, that is my poor expression. I was trying to show my admiration of the old boy Giggs still showing the others on how it is done.

Just heard Guus Hiddink on the TV. I think it is poor form to imitate Steve McClaren`s accent. Does he realise that it will hinder not help his reputation in England?
