Today I went and ordered my new Cooper [:D].All black metallic with nice upgraded 17' Crown alloys, Chilli pack, Comfort Access and other aesthetically appealing bits .Mr DL has put his foot down and banned me from having a dragon on the top ([n]) but has agreed to some sort of decal on the roof.I fancy the zebra([:p]) but he likes the monochrome Union Jack.
So the question for both is, Chav or have?
Same goes for the viper stripes on the bonnet?

If your going to have a Cooper then it has to have the Union Jack.

Have to agree with Dave. I'd say no to decals in general but there is something nostalgic about the union flag on a Mini [:D]

Stripes on the bonnet? Richard and I were discussing this the other day. Only on a Dodge Viper. Ford Focus? No way! [:)]

Congrats on the new car though. Always a nice feeling to have a new car coming.

Thanks,
Sarah

When Mrs M bought her Cooper S 18 months ago and wanted the strips et al but was persuaded out of it when she saw all the chrome bits you could get. She now has what can only be described as a very sparkly Mini.

If you have to do it though I would have the chequer board effect though this would only work with black cars imo which of course you have specified.

Regardless of what you do, enjoy the car, they are a hoot to drive and handle like a go kart.

We saw a set of these on an old Toyota Corrola a few years ago whilst sat in a traffic jam but they weren't alloys they were hub caps and looked absolutely ridiculous.

Anyway we thought it was so funny we were all physically laughing our heads off and then the driver saw what we were doing and realised what we were laughing at. I've never seen anyone look that embarrassed before or since and I bet they went in the bin when he got home.

I love the faded Union Jack in b&w on a black Mini Cooper.

Sounds totally A1 fab, good for you.

Oh, I wouldn't have the viper stripes, I think I'd get bored quickly with those.

One thing about the Mini is that they are handed out with uniform for CC!! Have a look at the staff car park at any airport or Manor Royal!!!!

Well after much pontificating over the BH weekend I went back to the
Mini dealership today and added a few more options [:I]. I've now added a panoramic roof, electric folding mirrors, and some more 'sparkly bits' inside (but not a 'spinner' in sight Darren[:p]).I'm having a faded monochrome Union jack/flag on the roof (possible on the panoramic) but am giving the viper stripes a miss. The order will be faxed off tomorrow and hopefully the boys and girls up in Oxford will have my baby built and ready for me sometime in May[:)].
The question now is do I order the monochrome UJ/F mirror caps (to match the roof) or not[}:)][}:)]?
