Anyone else had problems trying to access a BT OpenZone WiFi hotspot using their iPhone in the UK?

I've never had any issues using 'The Cloud' WiFi hotspots but this week for the first time I came across a BT OpenZone hotspot whilst on a training course.

When I selected O2 as the partner network and entered my mobile number (which you have to do the first time you use a hotspot), I kept getting an error message.

I've done several WiFi hotspot resets (sent a text with the words WIFI RESET to 2121 and also filled in the WiFi reset form on the O2 website) but tried the following day but it still wouldn't connect?

It seems there's a few people having this issue but O2 are completely unaware of any problems.

I had the same problem and hadn't heard about the text remedy, so I called O2. It was sorted in 30 minutes or so (with a SIM update by SMS) and there's been no recurrence in the last few weeks.
