Interesting airports. I question the use of the word "most".

Eagle Vail is at 6538ft. Extreme because it's high?
Lukla seems quite hairy but at 9100ft high it only takes light aircraft.

Anyone going to Machu Picchu will fly into Cuzco - 10,656ft altitude and it takes wide bodied jets!
I've had a double GA at CUZ! Landings are hard there due to the lack of air under the wings.
If you go down to Lake Titicaca, you will fly into Juliaca.
That one's fun. It's at 12,546ft! Another hard landing!

Madeira FNC supposed to be short? Try Ushuaia that's still 150ft shorter than Funchal used to be, but I suppose there's sea at either end - no beach, just rocks! The "advantage" there is it's built out into the Beagle Channel - so there's almost always a full gale to slow you down.

For those of us who missed it last night, Ch 5 are showing it again at 12:30 tomorrow (Sat 16th).

It was a bit 'tame' and at 1 1/2 hours it was too long - far too much padding

I remember landing at Praslin (in the Seychelles) far too many moons ago to count. Our pilot (from memory, of a Norman Islander) had to radio ahead to make sure that there were no goats on the "runway".

It certainly added an extra frisson to our approach!
