I have always suffered from jetlag to a point of debilitation following the return journey from the West Coast of the US

I am considering using melatonin but am a little confused when I would have to take this

Usually fly LHR to LAS, LAX or SFO and return - this years flight departures will be 13.00 hrs outbound and 17.30 hrs inbound

Any tips from users?

Thanks

Take it before retiring for 3 or more nights before travelling (I dont take it onboard as it there is an emergency I like to be awake) then for 3 or 4 evening when you reach your destination.

Works a treat for me and been using it now for over 10yrs on my business trips

Like you I stick to the 3mg - infact never used the 5mg - have some in an unopened bottle but as 3mg works fine, the stronger ones will remain in said bottle y)

I just used it on my return from Florida and did not notice any difference. I think they're a bit of snake oil to be honest.
