When I was in Boston I stayed in what is now the Back Bay Hotel but was then Jury's Hotel. It is still part of the Doyle Collection who own what used to be the Jury's hotels. It was a former police department and is well placed to all the local amenities. I would highly recommend it

Boston - my vote goes to The Lennox. next to the public library, subway station and the prudential centre. Has free wifi and in- room fridge too.

The Tides in Miami is a great hotel, friendly staff, nice building and wonderful views, good location, it has lots going for it. Good rooms, independent hotel feel, i.e. no chain feel...

Another vote for the Lennox in BOS. Lovely staff too, old world manners.

And in MIA like Hamster, I am a huge fan of the Tides. Great large rooms, via "ocean drive" - but not the cheapest.

Another vote for this one too, we stayed when it was a Jury's and it was lovely.

Will be staying in Nine Zero in June and July if June goes well.
Will post my opinion in a Trip Report after the event. Good prices on VS site for Boston, although nearly all are through Octopus.
