Hmmm, that depends on if you define a social as 'where more than 1 is gathered' [:D]

Please see the opening post in this thread for an update on the current position and likely costs, those who have put their names forward must decide if the costs are acceptable assuming we do not get any further names.

Please read and post comments below, thanks Bazz.

Bazz

66.66 a head so far? Wow.
I'm still good to go at that, but wouldn't mind it coming down a bit if we can get more folks in [:D]

Cheers

I am still up for it.

I really did enjoy the social at LHR and was really made to feel at home[8D] - I can't wait to meet up again.

We're still on BUT it would be nice to swell the ranks to keep the price down for those members who have children [;)]

What about those members that still get mistaken for children.... [:)]

Thanks,

We'll offer to buy a round... and in the intervening struggle over who pays... if the 'child' doesn't flash a CAX then we'll know it isn't you [:)]

I have adjusted the figures in the opening post to allow for Jonathan's friend, which will give us 16 people @ 63.12 per head.

I have requested the boat is reserved for the Sep date and have asked what deposit will be required, the deposit will be non-refundable.

Can the following please confirm if they will still attend, assuming we do not get any other takers and the price remains as quoted?

Out of interest, what are those who aren't local doing regarding getting home/staying somewhere?

I'm driving down but a hotel etc sounds a good idea as I doubt I'll be in a state to drive back until the next day!

Baz..anyone.. recomendations?

Once we get confirmation from the others I will investigate further. I have already made enquiries at one hostelry but to negotiate a good price I will need to know numbers.

In the absence of any new takers (very disappointing that is [:(]) we are still looking at 16 people @ 63.12 per head.

The boat is now reserved for Sat Sep 25th I am still waiting to find out what deposit will be required, the deposit will be non-refundable.

Can the following please confirm if they will still attend, assuming we do not get any other takers and the price remains as quoted?

As a newbie, and living quite close - Newbury - I would have liked to have come along and meet some of the people who post here.

Unfortunately (or not!) I am on VS019 on 14/9 and returning VS20 on 28/9.

So unless you guys get totally lost and are still afloat somewhere on the 29th, I will have to give this one a miss - sorry

Perhaps we need a raffle, free entry of course? [:o)]

First prize could be a night out with Mcuth, second prize two nights out with Mcuth, etc., etc, what do you think? [:D][;)]
