It's the Thames for goodness sake, how lost can they get? I hope they will not need advice. Besides as it has an engine, I think Peggit would be better placed to offer advice. It definitely will not have yards and will be made of plastic, so Splice the mainbrace and Shiver m'timbers would be somewhat out of place. I believe I was supposed to be piped aboard last time though, but it didn't happen [n]

I just reminded myself of those who are coming. I you will be bringing someone with you DragonLady - a certain Mr DragonLady. Can one have a male Lady Dragon? I think we are going to have to rename him - maybe, given those little flags that seem to be everywhere at the moment and the story of the Saint they commemorate (who was German by the way), 'GeorgeSlayer'.

Argh- wrong button.
Personally I think Dragonslave would be far more apt sailor[:D].He might object though.Any other offers for names or do we settle on GeorgeSlayer?
Well we are just getting to the stage where weather forecasts are coming out for the weekend. So remembering the fine drizzle of last year, I thought I would have a look. Oh well, there is still time fore the forecastto improve and at least it won't be windy!
Sure we will Chuck. But as you fly over, can you give that big low pressure a little push to the North? It should be somewhere south of Iceland, so you'll go right past!
When do you fly over by the way? Are you on your own accompanied?

I know the boat will leave at 7.30 (but I've no idea where from) but as this is my first 'jolly' (so to speak) is there some sort of loose plan to meet in the bar of the hotel beforehand?
Michael and I should be in the bar from about 0630am. Only kidding, we will be there from about 1530. We intend to be singing 'I am sailing' by 1630.

That sounds like a plan!!
How far is it to stagger then from the hotel to the boat?[:w]
Hi Guys,
The 'Plan' if you can call it that [?] is to meet in the Thames Hotel River Bar, (which is a bar overlooking the river [:)]) sometime before we are due to cast off (19:30) and stroll up the Thames about 150 mtrs to where the boat will be.
We are leaving at 19:30 prompt so please be there on time.
For those who don't make the hotel for pre-cruise drinks, there is a large car park opposite the mooring signed 'Jenner's Cafe' where you should be able to park, however, I would suggest the Thames Hotel carpark is a better bet.
If anyone has specific questions please PM or email me.
Enjoy and pray to your God, if you have one, to be kinder with the weather than last year [oo]
See you all on Saturday.
Jetwet1, eat your heart out! [:p]
