Could anyone recommend the best seat for me on LGW-MBJ (I believe it is a 747)as i am travelling alone in this cabin?

Looked at seats under manage my booking and they have left - 6a (6k i am currently booked into this seat), 8ak , 9ak , 10ak.

Cheers guys![:X]

I am in 8A / 9K in a couple of weeks time when travelling alone in UC on a LGW/MAN 744 aircraft. I chose these seats as they are in the middle of the cabin, so plenty of room in front of you & not too close to the bar. (These seats seem to be quite highly rated by V-Flyers too - see the seat ratings page on this website).

From the pics I have seen of the UC cabin on a LGW/MAN B744, seats 6AK are very close to each other - many people travelling as couples seem to like these seats. I guess the final decision as to where to sit depends on how much privacy / possible noise from the bar you are after / willing to put up with.

Thanks
James

I usually travel alone and my favourite is 8K on both LGW & LHR 747s

Cheers

I'd probably go for one of the middle suites as well, 8 most likely as mcuth says. The UC cabin is relatively cosy anyway so there isn't anywhere that you can totally avoid all noise/distractions etc, but it isn't a huge problem.;)

Geraldine, I think you will find the best seat is at the bar! ;)

Hiya, IMO I like 6A when travelling alone because although some people say it is good for couples, it is quiet. Hope this helps. have a good flight.R-P
P.s. It also depends on how tall you are because a friend of mine likes 7A or K because he is 6'6'' tall.

I'm with MCuth. Or perhaps Bazz! Either place is great.

Here here, time gentlemen and ladies please! In which case go back to 8K. 6K is a bit to cosy with the opposite, unless you want to be of course ;)

I have done 6A/K as a couple and like that but would not do it on my own unless I know the other seat is empty. I have also done 8A, 9A and 10A on my own and they are OK. The only seats to consider upstairs are 1A and 1K. My overall preference remains 1A or 1K upstairs for quiet and beaucoup de toilettes _but_:

o service is sporadic;
o they are often blocked ahead of check in;
o last off on arrival behind PE;
o although there's a nice shelf, there's hardly any secure carry on space save for a spare pair of pants, thongs at that.

And with that thought I will have a lie down.

Cheers guys, think i will move my seat then to 8a or 6k.

My husband is sitting in PE with his friend upstairs and i shall make the most of my UC experience and also make full use of the bar[}:)]

Unfortunately, you'd be in 70A in PE;)
