Guys,
I have a few questions.

First my itinerary:
Dec. 6: JFK - LHR (VS 46)
Dec. 7: LHR - BOM (VS 350)

Jan. 4: BOM - DEL (IC 809)
Jan. 4: DEL - LHR (BA 256)
Jan. 4: LHR - JFK (VS 25)

All of these flights are one 1 ticket issued by VS. This was originally booked on VS/BD; however due to cancellations on the LHR-BOM routes, I was re-accommodated. And VS will re-issue the tickets. It's also under one PNR.

My questions:
1. Will my bags be checked in through BOM on my outbound flight?
2. Will I have a boarding pass for my LHR-BOM flight?
3. Will I have to check-in again at T3 since I will leave the airport and go into the city.
4. On my return, when I check in at DEL, will my bags be checked through to JFK?
5. My BA flight lands at 4:40 (barring any delays) and my VS flight leaves at 6:00 pm. Is that enough time to get me from T4 to T3? (I'm assuming that I will not make this connection if I have re-check my bags. I think I'll be pushing my luck even if my bags are checked in through to JFK)

Thanking You

I don't know the definite answers to your first two questions.

If your luggage is through-checked to BOM on VS46/VS350 but you don't receive the onward boarding pass then, as your plan is to visit London anyway, just pick up the onward BP at the VS check-in in T3.

If your bags aren't through-checked to your final destination then you will need to check-in again.

BA's policy is to interline luggage to other oneworld carriers only. On your return, it is possible that BA will interline your luggage to VS but this isn't guaranteed. I would suggest you explain to the check-in agent that you have a very tight connection at LHR which you will not be able to make if your bags aren't through-checked. You will definitely not make the VS connection if your bags are only checked through to LHR. Having one PNR may be in your favour.

For VS, if your flights are all on the same ticket, you will be able to interline your bags. See here for further details.

Thanks,

Thank you for your help Sarah... They are all on one PNR. Hopefully everything will work out and there won't be too many hassles for me...
