It was exactly the same on the flight back from NAS the other year where we also encountered very bad turbulence. The only people injured where passengers who where not belted up.

The seat belt sign is there for a reason.

If you don't obey the "Fasten Seat Belt" sign, your travel insurance becomes invalid

Check the small print on your policy.
