Hotel Perth ?

Hi all,

Looking at burning up some miles [}:)] and will be meeting some friends in Perth (WA) in December for a few nights.

I've done some research but all the 5* places seem to have very mixed reviews. We need somewhere central (ideally CBD) would like a gym/pool and anywhere with a spa gets bonus points.

Can anyone make a recommendation?

Stayed at the parmelia hilton 4 years ago. Nice, central and great view of the park and river. cannot remember any more than that alas

I have not stayed here but, the Richardson is apparently popular with visiting performers. Is quite central in west perth, close to Kings Park, and a short walk or free bus ride to the city centre. Maybe be worth a look.

Have stayed at Parmelia Hilton also, v.central, but as of Oct 2006, rooms are in need of refurbishment, and some rooms v.small.

I'd seen the Richardson, but didn't look too closely because I thought it wasn't that central. Short walk to CBD sounds OK.

All depends on why you need to be right in the centre. Subiaco and Leederville are just slightly further out west and are good places to head out to for entertainment too. West Perth is mainly a business district, bustling during the day, a little quiet at night.
