Having a nightmare here. Any and all ideas would be good at this point!

I want a couple friends to come and join me in SFO next month. I have a shed load of *A miles, and a ton of VS ones. Unfortunately, there's NO reward availability in ANY class during July (well, as expected [:I]). They can come out in any class, but it's got to be relatively cheap (ie: a lot less than the current direct offers).

Dates needed are 20-27 July.

So, cheapest direct flights are currently ~£850 each. Cheapest indirect ones seem to be with Northworst, from LGW, at ~£750. Either way, ouch!

Aware that it IS peak season, and booking it around a month before it madness. However, I've tried VH, VS, Kayak, TVLCY, Expedia, itasoftware, the works. (Even looked at a reward flight for them to NYC - which is available - followed by internals on JetBlue. They STILL price out at £600+ per person in Y, minus all the miles, etc. [:0])

Ahem - ANY ideas??? I'm out. [oo]

Have you tried LAS?.

Dummy booking is showing 2 econ rewards (T) for 100,000miles.
Dep LGW 0n 20th July. Return on 27th.
