This was a surprise birthday trip for the the other half, and he didn't know know where we were going till he put in his Exec Club card at LHR! Used the priority security lane at T5, which seemed to be a bit faster than the normal queues. After a bit of shopping, it was off to the North Galleries before the flight. Settled into the area outside - quieter, but the internet access was pretty much non-existant [:(!] The usual food offerings available consumed with the asked for champagne (looks as to why we were getting this as usual!). There appeared to be a complete lack of diet coke in the lounge for some reason (only to keep hydrated whilst drinking the champagne). Boarding was from Gate 18 - other end of the terminal typically! Headed down to find that everyone else had pretty much boarded.

Short taxi and hold before take-off and away into the faster approaching night-time sky. There were 7 rows of club, although both Club and Euro Traveller weren't full on this flight. Shortly aftert take off, more champagne was accepted. Dinner options tonight were pasta with prawns in lobster cream sauce or chicken teppanyaki, served with a gooseberry fool and cheese and biscuits. The main course and the fool were very good indeed, however the biscuits for the cheese were slightly soft.

The flight passed relatively quickly, and all too soon we were in our descent for a chilly Warsaw. On arrival, there was a shortish taxi before we arrived on stand. The walk off the plane involved quiet an 'uphill hike' - part of the avoiding departing passengers to an empty terminal. After a very efficient and speedy immigration, it was through with our carry on bags and out to find a taxi into town.

All in all, a very pleasant flight and good crew on board.
